Bimini Undersea CrewGetting Ready to Go

During the orientation, guests are introduced to the staff and Crew for that day, learn a brief history of Bimini's Wild Dolphins, a timeline of how the trip usually goes, procedures for swimming with the Dolphins when they show up, safety procedures both in the water, and while aboard the boat, and finally a quick Q&A for any questions guests may have. The orientation really sets the stage for the adventure you are about to embark on. Once completed, we leave the dock and are off to the "Dolphin Grounds".

After idling out of Bimini harbor, the trip to the Dolphin Grounds takes approximately 45 minutes or so. Now that does not mean that we might not encounter Dolphins on the way. Dolphin Watching on the bowDolphins can be found just about anywhere in the ocean so when and where we encounter Dolphins is never a surprise. And, we know from years of experience that our chances go way up when we enter the Dolphin Grounds. Once we've reached the Dolphin Grounds area we slow the boat down to a just above idle speed and head off on our pre-set course. Everyone keeping their eyes out for Dolphins.
